Welcome to Highlands Ecotours! We are dedicated to providing you with a genuine ecotourism experience - not just "green-washed" recreation! We have designed several adventures to choose from, all of which help us achieve our mission:  "to share, protect, and preserve the natural beauty of the Highlands through an enhanced understanding, respect, and connection with nature" . Come and relax, refresh, and renew, as you explore the incredible beauty of the New Jersey Highlands and create a new connection and relationship with nature.

All of our ecotour adventures include: All transportation while on your adventure AND if you take public transportation to get here, we'll pay for it!  All gear needed (tent, backpack, stove, cooking gear, etc.) Food (Local and organic when we can get it)  Knowledgable and friendly guides A really good attitude!

Education is an important part of any ecotourism program and each of our adventures feature an opportunity to learn more about the area, ecosystems, geology, plants, wildlife, and history.  Finally, a $25 donation to a local New Jersey Highlands protection and advocacy group of your choice is also included in each program. This tax-deductable donation helps to ensure the space that you just enjoyed remains beautiful, natural, and unspoiled for the benefit of both that which lives there and those who visit for generations to come.
