The Easy-Over-Nighter
This trip begins early Saturday morning with a hearty breakfast and orientation session at a local diner and then we hit the trail! Based on group abilities, we'll backpack 2-4 miles to our camp. Along the way there will be ample opportunities to view glacier formed lakes, Highlands "Puddingstone", and a great diversity of birds and wildlife. After a trail lunch at a scenic overlook, we head on to our camp site to set up, maybe do a little exploring without a back pack.   /i//tn_100_1622.jpg

After a good day hiking and setting up camp, dinner is a welcome sight! All dinners feature fresh organic meats and produce. All meals are selected to be easily prepared on the trail and with a little bit of help, you'll be amazed at what a great chef you are!

As the sun sets, a warm fire - conditions permitting, tops off the night. Sleep comes early after backpacking and you will be eager to bed down for the night. Barred owls are common in these woods and if we're lucky, we might hear one or two soothe you to sleep with their "who-cooks-for-you" song.

On Sunday morning, we get an early start with a hot beakfast and fresh fruit. After packing up and cleaning up camp, we head back down the trail. We'll put in a couple of miles and then break for lunch. After lunch, we'll do a little hiking without backpacks or possibly go for a dip in a nearby natural pool.

We bring you back to the bus stop in time for the 4 pm to Port Authority.
